Green comes to the cage accompanied by shipping of to boston. Kreese has chosen 'Sweep The Leg, Johnny' by No More Kings as his entrance music. The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kreese throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Green counters with a three punch combo that has Kreese backing up. Kreese nods at Green to acknowledge the strikes.
Kreese is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Green's half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Green trying to hold on to Kreese's head to control him but Kreese postures up.
Kreese not doing much here.
Green tries to get to full guard but Kreese has control of the leg.
Kreese looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Kreese is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Green!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kreese trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Green knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kreese on the ground.
Green takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Kreese is in the full mount, landing strikes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kreese working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Green looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Kreese postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Green is out cold - huge knockout for Kreese!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). John Kreese!
After the fight, John Kreese was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
