Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rod Boone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ace Striker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ace Striker will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rod Boone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ace Striker!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shirou Masuda and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Striker fails with a takedown attempt.

Striker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Boone gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Striker is working an open guard so Boone takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

and Striker counters with a nice body shot.
Striker avoids a punch combination nicely.

Striker closes the distance and clinches.
Striker has Boone pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Boone manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Boone breaks from the clinch.

Striker darts in and clinches Boone up against the cage.

Striker jumps into guard, dragging Boone to the mat.

Striker is working an open guard so Boone takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Boone shoots in looking for a takedown but Striker manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Boone's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Striker closes the distance and clinches.
Striker is trying to break the clinch but Boone is controlling him.

Boone tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Striker smiles and moves away.

Ace Striker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Striker closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Boone escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Boone tries to keep at a distance but Striker has taken the fight into the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Striker throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Boone blocks it with crossed arms.
Striker lands with a left to the head.

Boone escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Striker shoots in but Boone avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Boone tries to close the distance and clinch up but Striker swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Striker lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Boone backs up against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Striker misses with a body shot.
Boone fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Striker will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ace Striker will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Striker shoots for a double leg takedown but Boone sprawls well. He's pushed Striker's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Boone ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Boone no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Boone dives in and grabs Striker's left leg, looking for a takedown. Striker pushes down on Boone's head and hops out.

Rod Boone is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Striker gets caught flat footed, as Boone shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Boone postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Boone is working Striker over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Boone stands up and waves to Striker to follow him.

Boone is trying to push Striker away but Striker has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Boone breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Striker has closed the distance and engaged Boone in a clinch.
Boone wants a takedown.

Boone jumps into guard, dragging Striker to the mat.
Boone wants to sweep here but Striker controlling him for the moment.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rod Boone will probably get the nod.

Boone drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Boone jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Boone has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Striker not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Boone loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Striker has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Boone is in close to Striker's body, working some short punches and elbows.

I would just about give that final round to Ace Striker.
I think Striker has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
