Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chras Watsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Rey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chras Watsky has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chras Watsky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carlos Rey! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Watsky tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Watsky misses with a two punch combination.
Watsky ducks under a wild hook from Rey. Rey shoots in for a takedown but Watsky shows good takedown defense. Watsky wants to slow Rey down by chopping away at his legs. Rey throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Watsky counters with a series of strikes. Rey will be more careful next time no doubt. Rey throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Watsky was covering up waiting for the punch and Rey finishes the takedown easily into guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Rey preventing the sweep. Rey trying to control but Watsky is working from the bottom. Rey looking to sit in guard and control but Watsky gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Rey looking to hit a scissor sweep but Watsky is one step ahead there.

He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Rey wants to control from the top but Watsky keeps moving. That's four minutes gone in the round. Watsky is looking to control Rey's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Watsky avoid being mounted? In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Rey working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Rey thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Watsky wants to get back to his feet.
Rey looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Nice strikes from Rey there. Rey throwing shots but Watsky is blocking nicely. Rey wants to free his trapped foot but Watsky is holding on for dear life with his legs. Rey throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Watsky is looking for a sweep. Rey is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Carlos Rey dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Watsky pushes down on Rey's head and hops out. Rey shoots for a double leg takedown but Watsky sprawls well. He's pushed Rey's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Watsky - that will leave a mark!
Watsky throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Watsky tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rey paws at him with a jab and circles away. Watsky looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Nice takedown defense from Watsky. No joy for Rey on that attempt. Rey is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Watsky slaps away a takedown attempt from Rey, before circling back to the center of the mat. Rey bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Watsky is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Rey's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Rey not landing any meaningful shots this time. Watsky gets full guard. Watsky looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
