Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Juan Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mighty Mouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mouse darts in and clinches Gonzalez up against the cage.
Mouse wants a takedown.
Gonzalez wants to break the clinch but can't.
Mouse told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.

Gonzalez drags the fight down to the ground.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Mouse trying to control the position from guard on top but Gonzalez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Gonzalez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mouse can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Mouse stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gonzalez swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gonzalez tries to kick Mouse off but Mouse keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Mighty Mouse was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Mouse scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Mouse drops Gonzalez with a beautiful combination! Gonzalez stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Mouse is looking for the KO!

We've been told by Gonzalez's head coaches at Main Event Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Mouse moves into the clinch successfully.
Oh Gonzalez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gonzalez is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Gonzalez seems to have got his legs back now.
Gonzalez tries to break the clinch but Mouse is controlling the position.
Mouse is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Gonzalez has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mouse avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Gonzalez shoots in looking for a takedown but Mouse manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gonzalez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Mouse feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Gonzalezs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Mouse lands a left and a right that send Gonzalez crashing to the mat, dazed. Mouse thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mouse looks to land a combination but Gonzalez avoids it well.
Gonzalez swats away the attempt to clinch by Mouse.

Gonzalez gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Mouse.

Mouse is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gonzalez's half guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Mighty Mouse hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Gonzalez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Left hook, right uppercut from Mouse.
Mouse shoots in and drives through. Gonzalez sprawls well.

Gonzalez bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Gonzalez goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Mouse rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Gonzalez's guard! Nice work there by Mouse!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Gonzalez wants to stand up but Mouse is controlling him.

Gonzalez looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Mouse has picked Gonzalez up and slammed him! Gonzalez can't keep hold of the triangle and Mouse manages to pass to side control!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Gonzalez is trying to escape the position but Mouse is controlling the position.

Mouse wants to control but Gonzalez is keeping him busy.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Mouse is staying tight to Gonzalez's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Mouse is looking to take a break and control but Gonzalez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Mighty Mouse showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

The fighters circling - Mouse throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Mouse throws a leg kick which misses Gonzalez's front leg but catches the back leg as Gonzalez tries to avoid it.
Mouse fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mouse pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Gonzalez back to the cage. Mouse follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Mouse throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Mouse.
Juan Gonzalez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Gonzalez instigates a clinch.

Mouse breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
No luck for Gonzalez with that takedown attempt.

Mouse tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Mouse lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Mouse.
Gonzalez shoots in but Mouse avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mouse rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gonzalez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Mighty Mouse seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Mouse lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Gonzalez falls backwards - clearly groggy! Mouse dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
