Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Allen Cabrera! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gary Bradshaw! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Cabrera looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Bradshaw shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Bradshaw avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bradshaw fails with a takedown attempt. Nice sprawl there from Cabrera as Bradshaw shoots in. Allen Cabrera has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gary Bradshaw. Bradshaw closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cabrera circles away. Gary Bradshaw seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bradshaw circles away from the clinch attempt.
Cabrera is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Bradshaw drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Cabrera is trying to get back to half guard. Bradshaw postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Bradshaw controlling from side mount. Bradshaw landing a few strikes. Cabrera being controlled for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bradshaw tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bradshaw has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Cabrera wants to get back to his feet but Bradshaw drags him back down. Bradshaw moves into full mount! A nice elbow there by Bradshaw. Bradshaw pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bradshaw controlling his opponent. Bradshaw unloading with bombs! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cabrera is wriggling around trying to escape.
Bradshaw looking to control and managing it successfully. Cabrera is bucking up trying to escape but Bradshaw cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bradshaw working Cabrera over with strikes here. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bradshaw controlling the pace for now. Bradshaw postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Cabrera in real trouble here! The ref calls for Cabrera to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
