Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Benoit Bizimana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matsui Takamatsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bizimana's entrance music is Fela Soul. A fine choice. Takamatsu comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Dogs of War kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Matsui Takamatsu acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Bart Greer and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takamatsu throws a head kick that misses.
Takamatsu gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Bizimana cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bizimana seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Takamatsu fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bizimana moves out of range of the leg kick from Takamatsu.
Bizimana throws a low kick but Takamatsu moves out of range easily.
Bizimana digs a good hook to Takamatsu's body.
Takamatsu throws a low kick, looking for Bizimana's leg but Bizimana calmly moves out of range.
Bizimana checks the leg kick nicely there.
Bizimana cracks a nice hook into Takamatsu's ribs.
Takamatsu wants to land a leg kick but Bizimana is out of range.
Bizimana avoids the head kick by Takamatsu.
Takamatsu tries to land a leg kick but Bizimana saw it coming and moves away.
Bizimana takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Takamatsu throws a jab but it's blocked by Bizimana.
Takamatsu closes the distance looking to clinch
and Bizimana makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Bizimana throws a shot from downtown. Takamatsu moves away and avoids it.
Takamatsu throws a push kick but Bizimana slaps the foot to one side.
Takamatsu's coach down at Cozad The Island was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Takamatsu's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Takamatsu tries to land a front kick but Bizimana steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Takamatsu thows a body kick. Bizimana tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Bizimana stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Bizimana circles away from the clinch attempt
and Takamatsu takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Bizimana looks to land a combination but Takamatsu avoids it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bizimana closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Takamatsu is rocked!
Takamatsu misses with a low kick as Bizimana jumps back.
Takamatsu is still on wobbly legs! Can Bizimana finish him?
Crack! Bizimana connects with the perfect overhand right and Takamatsu falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Bizimana!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Benoit Bizimana!
After winning the bout, Benoit Bizimana thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
