Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Zack Hobbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexsandr Slemenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Slemenko's choice of entrance music: Небо Славян. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexsandr Slemenko!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Vladimir Khabensky and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hobbs tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Slemenko counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Hobbs really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Slemenko trying to control the position but instead, Hobbs has worked for underhooks and has pushed Slemenko into the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Zack Hobbs will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Hobbs's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
