Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jackie Padilla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Havear Kilcho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Havear Kilcho has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jackie Padilla!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Havear Kilcho!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Josh West and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kilcho closes the distance and clinches.

Kilcho jumps into guard, dragging Padilla to the mat.
Padilla trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Padilla postures up.

Kilcho has his feet on Padilla's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Havear Kilcho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Padilla rushes Kilcho and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Padilla tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kilcho smiles and moves away.
Padilla shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kilcho pinned against the cage. Kilcho gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Kilcho is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Padilla's half guard.

Padilla wants to control but Kilcho is keeping busy.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kilcho in particular looking to stall.
It looks like Kilcho might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Havear Kilcho wasn't active enough on the ground.

Padilla is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kilcho to keep the fight standing.

Padilla tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kilcho smiles and moves away.

Kilcho throws a sloppy head kick
and Padilla counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Kilcho shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Padilla's guard.
Kilcho would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Kilcho drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Padilla manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kilcho has Padilla in his guard.

Kilcho is looking to reverse the position.

Padilla thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Kilcho parries the strikes from Padilla easily there. Padilla is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kilcho to escape.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Kilcho drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Kilcho stands up and beckons Padilla to his feet.

Kilcho gets to his feet - Padilla follows without any prompting.

and Padilla counters with a big head kick but Kilcho shrugs it off.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Havear Kilcho was stalling too much, according to the referee.

and Padilla counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kilcho won't be happy with that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Padilla is trying to get an arm triangle but Kilcho is defending well.

Padilla goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Kilcho has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Padilla but great work by Kilcho.

Kilcho throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Kilcho get's back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kilcho gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Padilla jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kilcho walks away with a smile on his face. Padilla gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Kilcho closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Padilla quickly recovers to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Havear Kilcho showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Kilcho is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Kilcho is working for a kimura but Padilla is defending it quite comfortably.
Padilla is trying is best to control the position here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Kilcho is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Padilla is just riding it out for now. Kilcho eventually gives up the hold.
Kilcho is keen to just control but Padilla is a slippery customer.

Kilcho is looking to take a break and control but Padilla is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Padilla makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Padilla.
Kilcho tries to free his leg and advance position but Padilla is retaining full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Havear Kilcho.

Kilcho fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Padilla to the ground. Kilcho is now in Padilla's guard.
Kilcho is looking to advance position but Padilla has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Kilcho is working to get back to half guard.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Padilla cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Padilla misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Jackie Padilla has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Havear Kilcho is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Padilla throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Kilcho because Padilla loaded up on that one.

And that's the end of the fight!
Havear Kilcho comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kilcho has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
