Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alexey Turshatov!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomez lands with an overhand left.
It looks like Alexey Turshatov has been cut.
Gomez will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Turshatov shoots for a takedown but Gomez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Turshatov's coach down at Elite Training Facility was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Turshatov's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Gomez ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Gomez scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Turshatov doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Gomez counters with a crisp right that sends Turshatov to the canvas! Gomez follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hector Gomez!
