Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Cole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Cranium (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Cole has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Cole! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Richard Cranium! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cole shoots for a takedown but Cranium saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Cranium doesn't succeed with the takedown and Cole counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Cole. Cranium is working for takedown but Cole is calmly controlling the position for now. Cole tries to score a body lock takedown but Cranium shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Cranium drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
John Cole has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Cranium. Cranium is trying to trip Cole. He has hold of a leg but Cole is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Cranium persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Cranium drops back looking for a leg! Cole is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cole manages to kick Cranium off! Cranium jumps back into Cole's guard. Cole is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Cranium pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cole is keeping the position for now. Cranium slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Cole sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cranium is looking to advance position but Cole won't allow it. Cranium looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Cranium trying to control the action but Cole is working from the bottom. Cranium is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Cole is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Richard Cranium!
