Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kip Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sparky Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson has chosen Blue clear sky as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kip Morgan! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sparky Anderson! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson fails with the takedown and Morgan counters with a big head kick but Anderson shrugs it off. Anderson shoots in for a double leg but Morgan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Anderson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Morgan swivels and escapes. Kip Morgan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sparky Anderson. Anderson tries to keep at a distance but Morgan has taken the fight into the clinch. Morgan misses with a knee strike.
Morgan has Anderson pressed against the cage.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Morgan just misses with a elbow thrown towards Anderson's brow. Morgan can't find room to land a body shot as Anderson controls the action.
Anderson wants the takedown. Morgan is fighting it off but Anderson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Morgan's guard against the cage. Anderson throwing strikes but missing. Anderson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Morgan dives on top into guard. We've been hearing that Morgan has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson looking to control.
Morgan trying to control the position from guard on top but Anderson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Morgan wants to stand but Anderson has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Anderson pulls Morgan in close to his closed guard and prevents Morgan from doing any damage or advancing position. Anderson has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Morgan doesn't defend quickly enough and Anderson has managed to lock this one up! Can Morgan escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Anderson on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Sparky Anderson! Sparky Anderson is the new featherweight champion! Sparky Anderson decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
