The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Donald Grub and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Lioks tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ramirez is in Lioks's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Lioks has a closed guard, preventing Ramirez from standing up.

Ramirez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Shelton Ramirez has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Lioks has taken the fight to the clinch.
Lioks trying to control the position but instead, Ramirez has worked for underhooks and has pushed Lioks into the cage.
Ramirez has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Lioks uses from the top position.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jamie Lioks was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Ramirez tries to close the distance and clinch but Lioks swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ramirez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lioks was covering up waiting for the punch and Ramirez finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Ramirez could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Lioks controls Ramirez momentarily but Ramirez frees himself.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jamie Lioks was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Lioks drives through with a takedown into guard.
Lioks has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Ramirez to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Lioks is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Ramirez pulls down on the head and he's put Lioks to sleep! This one is all over!
