Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quinton Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dreadlock Rasta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rasta has chosen Buffalo Soldier as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Dreadlock Rasta enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Quinton Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dreadlock Rasta!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Rasta!
Rasta tries to buck Jackson off but he can't manage it.
Rasta is trying to escape the mount.

Rasta is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Jackson can't fight it off and eventually Rasta manages to take the fight to the floor. Jackson looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Rasta drops back looking for a leg! Jackson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jackson manages to kick Rasta off! Rasta jumps back into Jackson's guard.

Rasta has gone for a leg lock! Jackson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Rasta's guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jackson is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Jackson wants to get up but he can't break Rasta's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Rasta looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jackson is one step ahead there.

Rasta is looking for a triangle but Jackson pushes his legs off easily.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Jackson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Rasta is looking to stand up but Jackson isn't so interested in that idea.
Jackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rasta on the ground.
Jackson wants to control from the top but Rasta keeps moving.

Jackson won't allow Rasta to get back to his feet.

Jackson gets to his feet - Rasta follows without any prompting.

Jackson rushes Rasta and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Rasta jumps guard and drags Jackson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Jackson stands up and waves to Rasta to follow him.

and Jackson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rasta's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rasta is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Rasta keeping moving, preventing Jackson from controlling successfully.
Rasta wants to stand but Jackson is controlling the position.

and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rasta won't be happy with that.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jackson scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

and Rasta counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jackson's guard now.

Rasta is looking to work some ground and pound but Jackson has wrist control.

Rasta decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jackson, up you get!

Jackson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Rasta bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
