Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kyros Sisyphus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Balan Syed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Syed has chosen Undead as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Syed tries a head kick but it misses.
Syed has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Sisyphus is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Syed misses with a few strikes there.

Syed shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sisyphus napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Syed has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sisyphus.

We've been hearing reports that Sisyphus has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Syed scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Sisyphus shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Syed but Syed pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

A head kick from Syed lands but Sisyphus takes it in his stride.

Sisyphus drops back, looking for a kneebar! Syed looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Syed looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Syed!

Syed decides to stand back up. Syed steps back and let's Sisyphus get back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sisyphus tries to control but Syed wriggling away.
Sisyphus connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Sisyphus is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Syed has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Syed!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sisyphus shoots in looking for a takedown but Syed manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sisyphus's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Sisyphus looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Syed pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Syed lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Syed.

Syed throws a front kick that sends Sisyphus stumbling back into the cage.

Syed throws a hook to the side of Sisyphus's head but Sisyphus sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Sisyphus goes for a double leg but Syed avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Syed continues to drive forward.

Syed creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Sisyphus's defenses.
Sisyphus tries to pull guard but Syed forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Sisyphus is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Syed can't fight it off and eventually Sisyphus manages to take the fight to the floor. Syed looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sisyphus throws an elbow that misses. Syed uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sisyphus's guard. Nice move by Syed!

Syed wants to get up but he can't break Sisyphus's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Syed wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Syed stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Syed wants it to stay on the feet.
Syed throws a body punch but Sisyphus moves out of range.
Syed lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Sisyphus closes the distance and clinches up with Syed, looking for a takedown. Sisyphus pushes Syed against the cage but Syed circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
