Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kid Diddler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zbigniew Zielinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kid Diddler has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kid Diddler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zbigniew Zielinski!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Joseph Jones and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zielinski looks to land a right hand but Diddler moved out of range.

Diddler closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Zielinski tries for a takedown. No joy.
The referee is keeping an eye on Diddler - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Zielinski's coach down at Valhalla:NY GYM was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Zielinski's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Zielinski manages to break the clinch.
Diddler fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Zielinski digs a good hook to Diddler's body.
Zielinski fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Diddler.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Zielinski shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Diddler manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Diddler really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Zielinski slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Zielinski has gone for a leg lock! Diddler slips out almost immediately though and dives into Zielinski's guard.
Zielinski wants to sweep but no luck.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We've been hearing that Diddler has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Zielinski pulls Diddler in close to prevent any damage.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Zbigniew Zielinski.

Zielinski closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Zielinski lands in his opponent's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Zielinski fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Diddler checks it well.
Zielinski thows a body shot but no joy.
Diddler walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Diddler moves into range and clinches up with Zielinski.
Zielinski looking to stall.
Diddler misses with a short punch on the inside.
Zielinski is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Diddler's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Zielinski shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Diddler as he avoids it easily.
Zielinski throws a right and a left that Diddler avoids nicely.

Diddler pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Zielinski fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Zielinski throws a nice looking combination but Diddler bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Diddler shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Zielinski tries to keep at a distance but Diddler has taken the fight into the clinch.
Come on Zielinski - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Zielinski escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Zielinski looks to land a right hand but Diddler moved out of range.
Zielinski feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Diddler's calf.
Diddler avoids a punch combination nicely.
A slow jab from Zielinski misses its intended target.
A telegraphed right hand from Zielinski misses the target.
Zielinski throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Zielinski darts in looking for a takedown but Diddler gets double underhooks and turns Zielinski into the cage.
Kid Diddler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zbigniew Zielinski.

Zielinski tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Diddler just stands there and leans against the cage.
Zielinski fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Diddler has picked Zielinski up - he's going for a ride! Diddler dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Diddler is trying to control. Zielinski wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Zielinski wants to get back to full guard.
Diddler wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zielinski keeps working.

Diddler is fighting to break Zielinski's control of his arms but Zielinski is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Zielinski is looking for a triangle but Diddler pushes his legs off easily.
Zielinski avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Zielinski lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Diddler!

Diddler defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Zielinski.
Zielinski trying to control but Diddler is having none of it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
BOOM! Zielinski connects with a massive shot to the dome!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zbigniew Zielinski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Zielinski walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Diddler checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Zielinski is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Diddler is just riding it out for now. Zielinski eventually gives up the hold.

Zielinski in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Diddler tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Zielinski!
