Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Konen Kamikaze! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mathew Ridgeway! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Sam Margolis and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ridgeway throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kamikaze throws a push kick but Ridgeway slaps the foot to one side. Ridgeway wants to clinch and Kamikaze makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Ridgeway looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Ridgeway throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kamikaze definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Ridgeway moves in looking to clinch but Kamikaze pushes him off. Ridgeway tries to clinch up but Kamikaze circles away and keeps his distance. Kamikaze swats away the attempt to clinch by Ridgeway. Ridgeway's corner calls for a 1-2. Ridgeway obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Ridgeway tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kamikaze swats him away and circles back towards the center. Kamikaze throws a head kick but Ridgeway moves out of range.

enabling Ridgeway to counter with a crisp jab. Ridgeway misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kamikaze.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ridgeway misses with a hook. Kamikaze ducked under it nicely. Kamikaze throws a head kick that half lands.
Ridgeway smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Ridgeway blocks a head kick by Kamikaze.
Kamikaze ducks under a wild hook from Ridgeway. Ridgeway fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kamikaze manages to avoid it. A nice inside leg kick there by Kamikaze. That's going to slow Ridgeway down. Ridgeway moves into range and clinches up with Kamikaze. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ridgeway misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Kamikaze breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ridgeway scores with a jab to the body. Kamikaze tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ridgeway changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Kamikaze moves away from the strike by Ridgeway. Ridgeway tries to clinch but Kamikaze is having none of it. A big right from Ridgeway misses. Ridgeway scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kamikaze doesn't seem bothered though. Kamikaze connects with a leg kick. Ridgeway looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Ridgeway connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Kamikaze's hands. Kamikaze tries to keep at a distance but Ridgeway has taken the fight into the clinch. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ridgeway tries to throw a body punch but Kamikaze avoids it by throwing Ridgeway back against the ropes. Kamikaze pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Ridgeway looks to land a left hand but Kamikaze moved out of range nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mathew Ridgeway dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Kamikaze keeps Ridgeway at a distance using the push kick. Kamikaze moves forwards but Ridgeway connects with a nice, crisp jab. A looping hook to the body misses from Ridgeway. Kamikaze does a little dance to reset his feet. Kamikaze throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Ridgeway throws a jab but it's blocked by Kamikaze. Ridgeway scores with a nice right hand.
Kamikaze is rocked! Ridgeway misses with an uppercut. Kamikaze saw that one coming. Oh Kamikaze is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Mathew Ridgeway seems to be getting the better of the standup. Nice defenses there by Kamikaze. A slow jab from Ridgeway misses its intended target. Ridgeway misses with a straight right. Kamikaze ducks under a wild hook from Ridgeway. A swing and a miss from Ridgeway. Kamikaze looks to land a body kick but Ridgeway moved away. Ridgeway throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kamikaze sees it coming and avoids it easily. Kamikaze defending well as Ridgeway loads up on a big left hand. A slow jab from Ridgeway misses its intended target. Ridgeway throws a jab when Kamikaze was well out of range. Ridgeway looks to land a left hand but Kamikaze moved out of range nicely. Kamikaze slips under a jab. Ridgeway is throwing punches like he's double parked. Oh my word! Huge right hand from Ridgeway shuts the power down on Kamikaze. Lights out, game over! Ridgeway is your winner.
