Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mlody Drimzki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kelvin Pouncey!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Michael Johnstone and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pouncey stuffs the takedown attempt from Drimzki. Drimzki gets slowly back to his feet.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Drimzki!


It looks like Kelvin Pouncey has been cut.

Pouncey closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Drimzki to the mat! Drimzki manages to get full guard.
Pouncey has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad The Island. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Pouncey prevents Drimzki from getting back to his feet.

Drimzki is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Nice takedown defense from Pouncey. No joy for Drimzki on that attempt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Drimzki is desperately trying to improve his position but Pouncey has a good base and remains in mount.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Pouncey cracks Drimzki with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Pouncey closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Pouncey lands in his opponent's guard.

Pouncey thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Pouncey wants to control from the top but Drimzki keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kelvin Pouncey hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Drimzki ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Pouncey shoots in but Drimzki avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Pouncey tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Drimzki goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Drimzki throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Kelvin Pouncey has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Pouncey fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Drimzki to the ground. Pouncey is now in Drimzki's guard.

Drimzki wants to stand up but Pouncey is controlling him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Drimzki looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Pouncey passes into half guard.

Drimzki pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Drimzki throws a head kick but Pouncey moves out of range.

Pouncey is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Drimzki's half guard.
Pouncey uses his free foot to push down on Drimzki's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Drimzki.

Drimzki is rocked!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Drimzki takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Pouncey's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
