Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Preston Mckay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Lomp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Preston Mckay! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lee Lomp! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Micheangelo Fripello and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mckay gets caught napping as Lomp dives in and scores a takedown. Mckay manages to retain guard. Mckay keeping moving, preventing Lomp from controlling successfully. Mckay seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Lomp tries to stand but Mckay is controlling from the bottom. Mckay throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Lomp trying to control but Mckay is working from the bottom. Lomp content to stall in guard here.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Lee Lomp. Lomp ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lomp throws a right hand that Mckay ducks under and follows up with a left that Mckay also avoids with ease. Lomp decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Mckay trying to control but Lomp postures up.
Mckay is looking for a sweep. Lomp is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Mckay looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Mckay trying to control from the bottom.
Lomp works his way into full mount! Lomp wants to control the pace but Mckay is squirming around nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mckay is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Lomp can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mckay is looking to escape. Mckay can't escape the position.
Lomp has hold of Mckay's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Mckay manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Lomp is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Mckay to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mckay shrugs it off. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lomp controlling the pace for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mckay working to try and regain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mckay is working hard here to advance position. Mckay wants to control but Lomp is having none of it. Mckay is looking to get to half guard. Lomp working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Lomp goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Mckay turns into him and now he's in Lomp's guard.
Lomp is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mckay trying to stand up but can't free himself from Lomp's guard. Lomp looking for a sweep. Not yet Lomp, not yet. Lomp working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Mckay. Mckay has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lomp pulls Mckay in close to prevent any damage. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Mckay gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lee Lomp dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Mckay misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Lomp misses with a body kick. Lomp fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mckay has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Lomp comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Lomp gets a double leg takedown into Mckay's guard. Mckay controls Lomp momentarily but Lomp frees himself. Lomp controlling from the top position. Lomp throws a big right hand that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mckay looking for a sweep. Not yet Mckay, not yet. Mckay not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
We're going to have a standup here because Preston Mckay wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Lomp throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Mckay fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Lee Lomp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mckay gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lomp to score an easy takedown into full guard. Lomp passes into half guard. Lomp prevents Mckay from improving his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mckay works his way to full guard. Good work. Mckay working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Lomp has passed into half guard!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lomp not doing much here.
Lomp decides to stand up. Mckay takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Lomp fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mckay, pushing him back against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mckay has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Lomp pulls guard successfully.
Lomp is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mckay is aware though and is defending well. Mckay really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Mckay tries to stand but Lomp is controlling from the bottom. Mckay stands up from Lomp's guard - Mckay perhaps looking for a knockout. Mckay shoots for a double leg takedown but Lomp sprawls well. He's pushed Mckay's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Preston Mckay. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lomp lands with a nice body kick. Lomp decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Mckay trying to control but Lomp postures up.
Lomp content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lomp throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Lomp stands up out of the half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lomp tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Lomp takes the fight into the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lee Lomp showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Mckay has a closed guard, preventing Lomp from standing up. Mckay looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mckay can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lomp controls the pace. Lomp trying to control but Mckay is working from the bottom.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Lee Lomp wasn't active enough on the ground. Lomp feints and as Mckay raises his hands in defense, Lomp changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lomp wanted to stand there but Mckay had control of the position. Lomp stopping the sweep attempt from Mckay. Lomp throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Lomp is pushing down on Mckay's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mckay is fighting to maintain full guard but Lomp has managed to sneak the leg through. Lomp perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Mckay is trying to control but can't.
Lomp trying to control the pace. Mckay wants to get back to full guard but Lomp has mounted him! Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mckay reaches up to try and control the position but Lomp seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Mckay rolls and tries to escape and now Lomp has his back!
Lomp is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Lomp avoiding Mckay 's attempts to control his hands. Lomp throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. Lomp just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Lomp misses with a punch to the head. Mckay wants to control his opponent's hands but Lomp gets his hands free. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lomp working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lomp is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Mckay has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Mckay breaks Lomp's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Mckay throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Lomp manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Lomp manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Mckay on his heels. He'll look to pass Mckay's guard now, I'm sure. Mckay is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lomp is aware though and is defending well. Lomp looking to pass the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lomp sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mckay's guard. Mckay wants to get back to his feet.
Lomp seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mckay does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mckay actively working from the bottom here. Mckay is trying to get back to full guard. Lomp looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mckay is looking to improve his position.
And that's the end of the fight! Lee Lomp comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Lomp has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
