Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tray Baracker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Grapp Ler! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ler fails with an attempt to clinch.
Baracker clinches up with Ler and pushes him back against the cage. Ler is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Baracker to keep the fight standing. Ler wants to take the fight to the mat but Baracker manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Baracker gets underhooks to prevent Ler's takedown attempt.
Tray Baracker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grapp Ler. Baracker utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Ler tries to pull guard but Baracker won't allow it.
Ler has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Baracker is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Baracker pulls guard successfully.
Baracker definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Ler loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Ler trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Ler throws a big right hand that misses. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ler accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ler with a flurry of punches that miss. Ler is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Baracker is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Baracker has escaped and now he's on top!
That's one minute gone in the round. Baracker showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Ler has his foot on Baracker's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Baracker works his way back into a safe position though. Ler is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Baracker frees his head nicely. Oh but Ler has switched to an armbar! Baracker is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
