Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Asda Price! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bubu KisyaPisya! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Steve Montenegro and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good leg kick by Price there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
KisyaPisya misses with a head kick.
Price lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Price throws a head kick that misses. We've been hearing reports that Price has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Asda Price seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. KisyaPisya gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. This has been an exciting period of action! KisyaPisya gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Price throws a nice looking combination but KisyaPisya bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Price drops his shoulder and cracks KisyaPisya with a huge uppercut! KisyaPisya goes down! Can Price finish him?
It looks like Bubu KisyaPisya has been cut. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Price trying to control the position from guard on top but KisyaPisya is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Price is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Price wants to control from the top but KisyaPisya keeps moving. Price throws a big elbow that misses. Price tries to free his leg and advance position but KisyaPisya is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Asda Price just wasn't active enough. KisyaPisya fails with the takedown and Price counters with a beautiful punch that sends KisyaPisya to the canvas!
KisyaPisya is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! KisyaPisya is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Price is aware though and is defending well. KisyaPisya looks winded! Price not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. KisyaPisya looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Price passes into half guard.
It looks like Price is going to stand back up.
KisyaPisya is not content to let Price control the position. Price is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, KisyaPisya has managed to free his arm - good work. Price is taking a breather. KisyaPisya says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. KisyaPisya tries to roll over but Price keeps him under control. KisyaPisya is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Price is trying to control the action in half guard but KisyaPisya is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. KisyaPisya moves into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Price pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. KisyaPisya is keeping the position for now. Price wants to control from the top but KisyaPisya keeps moving. Price is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Asda Price has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. A looping hook to the body misses from Price. KisyaPisya does a little dance to reset his feet. Price lets loose with a powerful body kick. KisyaPisya will feel that in the morning.
That's three minutes gone in the round. KisyaPisya fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Asda Price has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bubu KisyaPisya. Oooh a lovely combination from Price sends KisyaPisya down but not out. Price dives into side control looking to finish. KisyaPisya is still in real trouble! Can Price finish him? The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Price tries to stand but KisyaPisya is controlling his head. Price is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. KisyaPisya knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Price in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and KisyaPisya looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Price turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
