Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zdenko Golub (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carwin Lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Zdenko Golub! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Carwin Lesnar! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Emerson Jorge and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Golub fails to land the takedown. Lesnar lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Golub at a distance.
Golub moves in looking to clinch but Lesnar pushes him off. Golub shoots in but no luck this time. Golub shoots in but Lesnar avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zdenko Golub. That's going to take a lot out of him. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lesnar. Golub misses with a jab to the body
and Lesnar counters with a nice uppercut. Golub swings and misses with a shot to the body and Lesnar counters with a lovely straight right hand! Golub shoots in but no luck this time. Golub tries for a takedown but Lesnar circles away easily and Lesnar cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Golub is breathing heavily. Golub wants to clinch. Lesnar closes this distance looking for a takedown but Golub circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lesnar shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Golub as he jumps to the side. Golub shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Lesnar looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Golub stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lesnar swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lesnar pulls Golub in close to prevent any damage. Lesnar looking for a sweep. Not yet Lesnar, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Golub looking to sit in guard and control but Lesnar gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Golub wants to sweep here but Lesnar controlling him for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lesnar controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Lesnar's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Golub keeping full guard, as Lesnar tries to pass.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lesnar wants to stand but Golub has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Golub working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lesnar. Lesnar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Golub. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Golub bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lesnar's guard. Golub being controlled here momentarily. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Golub tries to free his leg and advance position but Lesnar is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Lesnar pulls Golub in close to his closed guard and prevents Golub from doing any damage or advancing position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lesnar can do anything to dispel that myth. Golub throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lesnar works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Lesnar wants to improve his position but instead Golub has moved into half guard.
Lesnar wants to get back to full guard but Golub has passed into side control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Golub punishing his opponent with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Zdenko Golub will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Lesnar tries for a takedown but Golub sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Golub fails to land the takedown. Golub shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lesnar but Lesnar pushes him off and we're back to square one. Lesnar shoots in for a takedown but Golub shows good takedown defense. The fight stays on the outside here - Lesnar looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Lesnar circles away from the clinch attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lesnar is looking to clinch but Golub is avoiding it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Golub shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zdenko Golub. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lesnar tries to clinch but Golub moves out of range. Lesnar shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Golub as he jumps to the side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Golub fails with a takedown attempt. Lesnar takes the fight into the clinch. Lesnar stalling in the clinch but Golub improves position. Golub is looking to break free of the clinch but Lesnar has double underhooks. Lesnar is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Golub successfully pulls guard.
Golub is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Golub is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Lesnar controlling from the top position. Let's hope that Lesnar has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Golub is trying to control the position but Lesnar postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lesnar looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Golub preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Lesnar content to stall in guard here. Golub is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Golub had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lesnar is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Golub Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lesnar's back instead. Golub wants to control but Lesnar is keeping busy. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lesnar is really stuck here.

Carwin Lesnar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
A head kick misses from Lesnar. Nice takedown defense from Golub. No joy for Lesnar on that attempt. Lesnar circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lesnar scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Lesnar looks to land a combination. Golub sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Zdenko Golub is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Golub throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Lesnar counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Golub shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lesnar pinned against the cage. Lesnar gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Lesnar lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Golub has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Lesnar finds it's way round the side to connect with Golub's head. Lesnar shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Golub as he avoids it easily. Lesnar closes this distance looking for a takedown but Golub circles away. Zdenko Golub has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carwin Lesnar. Golub tries to clinch up but Lesnar circles away and keeps his distance. Lesnar changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Golub looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Golub sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Lesnar stalling away here and it's allowed Golub to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Golub striking off his back but it's not causing Lesnar any problems. Lesnar is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
And that's the end of the fight! Carwin Lesnar comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Lesnar has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
