Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Misiek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grant Benton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Misiek comes into the arena with El Picante blaring out of the sound system. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Rafael Misiek! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Grant Benton! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Paulo Santos and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Misiek takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Misiek manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Benton on his heels. He'll look to pass Benton's guard now, I'm sure. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Misiek avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Benton working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Misiek doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Misiek manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Benton looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Misiek landing some decent shots from guard. Benton looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Benton looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Misiek pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Benton is keeping the position for now. Misiek trying to control but Benton is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Benton is looking for a triangle but Misiek pushes his legs off easily.
Misiek throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Benton is trying to control the position but Misiek postures up. Misiek trying to stand up but can't free himself from Benton's guard. Benton being controlled here, momentarily. Misiek throws a strike but Benton rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Benton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Misiek swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Benton stops Misiek from standing up. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Benton trying to control but Misiek is working from the bottom. Benton got a little sloppy there for a moment and Misiek has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Benton has managed to get both his arms back between Misiek's legs - danger averted. Misiek knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Benton on the ground. Benton passes into half guard. Benton seems to be working for a kimura but Misiek defends the submission attempt. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Benton seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Misiek does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Benton is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Misiek doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Benton. Benton is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Misiek is doing well to control the position and prevent Benton from advancing to side control. Misiek on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Misiek tries to get out of the position. Benton works his way into full mount! Misiek is looking to get to half guard. Misiek is squirming around, avoiding Benton's attempts to control the action. Misiek wants to hold on but Benton pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Benton throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Misiek has his hands clasped together but Benton breaks the hold and Misiek is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Benton!
