Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Emerson Jorge and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Glover gets tackled into the cage by Matsuo. Matsuo maintains the clinch.
Matsuo drags the fight down to the ground.
Matsuo is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Glover fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Matsuo manages to avoid it.

Glover has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Matsuo is working away from the top position though.

Matsuo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Glover gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Glover is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Matsuo is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Matsuo has escaped and now he's on top!

Matsuo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Glover is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jay Matsuo was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Glover fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Matsuo manages to avoid it.
Glover throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Glover scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Matsuo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Glover loads up on a big right hand but Matsuo slips the punch.

Matsuo drives through and clinches with Glover against the cage.
Matsuo works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Glover working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Matsuo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Matsuo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Matsuo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Matsuo ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Matsuo no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Glover stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Matsuo swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Matsuo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Glover's guard.
Matsuo advances position into side control!
Matsuo remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
