Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brian Pereira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lay Herman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pereira moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Herman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pereira pinned against the cage. Pereira gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Nice body kick there by Pereira.
Herman on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Pereira scores with a crisp jab that stopped Herman in his tracks.
Pereira definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Pereira throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Herman on the side of the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Herman shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Pereira manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Pereira wants to sweep but no luck.

Pereira slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Pereira is looking to pass into half guard but Herman pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Herman is in guard.

Herman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pereira has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Herman has managed to get both his arms back between Pereira's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Herman paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Pereira - great work!
