Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ronald Rousey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tarik Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rousey comes to the cage accompanied by Creepy Jackalope Eye by Supersuckers. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ronald Rousey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tarik Johnson! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Josh West and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rousey swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Johnson misses with a takedown attempt and Rousey counters by moving into the clinch. Johnson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Rousey prevents it.
A short right from Rousey on the inside. Johnson is working for takedown but Rousey is calmly controlling the position for now. Ronald Rousey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tarik Johnson. Johnson drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Johnson is looking to take this one to the mat. Rousey's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Rousey cracks Johnson with a good jab. Rousey looks for the body kick but Johnson saw that one coming. Johnson misses with a takedown attempt and Rousey makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Johnson really felt that one! Rousey misses the shot to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Johnson shoots in for a takedown but Rousey shows good takedown defense. Rousey scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Johnson doesn't seem bothered though. Rousey misses with an attempted mid kick.
Tarik Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Johnson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Rousey connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson moves out of range of the strikes. Rousey throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Johnson fails with the takedown and Rousey counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Rousey rushes Johnson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Johnson is looking for a takedown. Rousey breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Johnson misses with a takedown attempt letting Rousey counter with a right hand. Rousey tries to clinch there but Johnson circles away.
Johnson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Rousey counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Johnson looking to score a takedown here. Rousey is defending well but Johnson drives through and ends up in Rousey's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Rousey escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Johnson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rousey controls Johnson momentarily but Johnson frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson has gone for a leg lock! Rousey slips out almost immediately though and dives into Johnson's guard. Rousey trying to control but Johnson is working from the bottom. Rousey keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Johnson's head. Rousey avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Rousey stands and throws Johnson's legs to the side, diving into side control. Rousey lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Johnson is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Johnson is looking for a sweep. Johnson sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson tries to get to full guard but Rousey has control of the leg. Johnson actively working from the bottom here. Rousey thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Johnson's head. Rousey works his way into side control. Rousey connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Johnson some visible discomfort.
Johnson is trying to get back to half guard. Rousey lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Johnson down.
Rousey has knee on belly and moves into mount. Rousey looking to control but Johnson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Johnson in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Johnson manages to regain half guard. Good work. Johnson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Well, if Rousey is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Rousey is looking to take a break and control but Johnson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Johnson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Rousey wants to pass the guard but Johnson is defending well. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Johnson is looking for a sweep. Rousey is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Rousey looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ronald Rousey dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Rousey gets a takedown into half guard. Johnson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Johnson wants to sweep here but Rousey controlling him for the moment. Johnson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rousey defends well. Johnson has an active guard here but Rousey has managed to pass into half guard.
Rousey trying to control the action but Johnson is working from the bottom. Rousey has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rousey content just to control the position here. Rousey lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Rousey prevents Johnson from getting the reversal. Johnson is squirming around, avoiding Rousey's attempts to control the action. Rousey cracks Johnson with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Johnson gets back to half guard. Johnson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Johnson. Johnson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Rousey is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rousey working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rousey is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Johnson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rousey is one step ahead there. Johnson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rousey doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Johnson is tightening it up a little... Rousey has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Rousey reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Rousey taps out! Nice BJJ there by Johnson!
