Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Friendly shoots in for a takedown but Tarvainen shows good takedown defense.
Friendly throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Tarvainen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like George Friendly has been cut.
Friendly dips to his left and cracks Tarvainen with an uppercut!
Friendly changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tarvainen tries to avoid it but Friendly manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tarvainen to the ground. Tarvainen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Tarvainen checks a low kick from Friendly .

Tarvainen misses with a few strikes there.
Friendly connects with the punch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tarvainen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

We've been informed that Tarvainen has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Tarvainen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Friendly paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Friendly shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Tarvainen manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Friendly gets to his feet - Tarvainen follows without any prompting.
Tarvainen keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Friendly shoots in looking for a takedown but Tarvainen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Friendly 's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
George Friendly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tarvainen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Tarvainen looks to land a combination but Friendly avoids it well.
Friendly shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tarvainen pinned against the cage. Tarvainen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Tarvainen displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Friendly .
Friendly misses with a hook. Tarvainen ducked under it nicely.
Tarvainen pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Tarvainen tries to clinch there but Friendly circles away.
Friendly avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Friendly misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tarvainen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Friendly was well out of range. Poor timing from Tarvainen.
Friendly drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Tarvainen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Friendly trying to control but Tarvainen is working from the bottom.

Friendly prevents Tarvainen from getting back to his feet.
Tarvainen can't keep his opponent in guard - Friendly advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Friendly is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Tarvainen is looking to improve his position.
Tarvainen keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Friendly content to control rather than advance.
Friendly maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Tarvainen could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Friendly has cracked it and Tarvainen is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Friendly !
