Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tate Perkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Foster! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tate Perkins! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Steve Montenegro and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Foster rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Perkins moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Perkins fails in his attempt to clinch. Perkins avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Perkins gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Foster trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Perkins utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Foster tries to free his leg and advance position but Perkins is retaining full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Foster stands and throws Perkins's legs to the side, diving into side control. Foster is looking to take a break and control but Perkins is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Foster is pressing down on Perkins's thigh, looking to free his foot. Perkins is holding on for now. Foster looks to land a strike but Perkins avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
