Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Landen Maderia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenji Nakai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Landen Maderia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenji Nakai! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maderia shoots in and bounces Nakai off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Nakai is trying to keep Maderia in close.
Nakai is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Maderia trying to control but Nakai is working from the bottom. Nakai keeping full guard, as Maderia tries to pass.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kenji Nakai wasn't active enough on the ground. Maderia closes the distance and clinches up with Nakai, looking for a takedown. Maderia pushes Nakai against the cage but Nakai circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Nakai fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nakai shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Nakai tries to stand but can't do so whilst Maderia controls his leg. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Maderia tries to get to full guard but Nakai has control of the leg. Nakai is looking to take a break and control but Maderia is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Maderia is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maderia wants to control but Nakai is keeping busy.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Nakai is controlling the pace.
Maderia on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Maderia tries to get out of the position.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Kenji Nakai hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Nakai closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Nakai performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Maderia knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nakai on the ground. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nakai is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Maderia has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maderia is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Maderia tries to kick Nakai off but Nakai keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Nakai is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Maderia tries to get to full guard but Nakai has control of the leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nakai not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Nakai trying to mount his opponent but Maderia defends it. Nakai content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Nakai stands up out of the half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Maderia looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Maderia shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kenji Nakai dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Maderia changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nakai tries to avoid it but Maderia manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nakai to the ground. Nakai escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nakai shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Maderia sprawls well. Maderia wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nakai gets slowly back to his feet. Maderia keeps the fight on the outside. Nakai throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Maderia's waist but Maderia gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nakai off to one side. Nakai darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Maderia trying to control here.
Nakai throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maderia is looking to improve his position.
Nakai trying to pass the guard but Maderia defending well. Maderia slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Maderia throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Maderia working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nakai doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nakai manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Nakai wants to stand but Maderia has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maderia wants to sweep but no luck. Nakai looking to pass the guard. Nakai throwing strikes from guard but Maderia blocks nicely. Maderia looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Maderia keeping full guard, as Nakai tries to pass. Maderia wants to hit a switch here but Nakai passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Maderia there! Nakai trying to control but Maderia is having none of it. Nakai is in the full mount, landing strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nakai throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Nakai unloading with bombs! Nakai lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Maderia tries to hold on but Nakai postures up. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Nakai cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Maderia in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Maderia manages to regain half guard. Good work. Maderia is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Nakai pulls his head out easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kenji Nakai showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Maderia's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Nakai throws a right hand that Maderia ducks under and follows up with a left that Maderia also avoids with ease. Maderia throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Nakai shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Maderia's guard. Maderia keeping moving, preventing Nakai from controlling successfully. Nakai seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Kenji Nakai has got the better of the ground game so far. Maderia looking for a triangle here. Nakai is fighting it but it looks tight! Maderia pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Nakai is tapping out - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Landen Maderia! Landen Maderia took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
