PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tony Abot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nasiar Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Abot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nasiar Jenkins!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Jenkins gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Abot counters with a series of strikes. Jenkins will be more careful next time no doubt.
Jenkins tries to close the distance and clinch up but Abot swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jenkins takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Jenkins has a takedown stuffed.
Abot goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Abot tries to clinch but Jenkins moves out of range.
Abot smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Abot thuds his shin into the meat of Jenkins's side.
Abot throws a nice inside leg kick.
Abot with a body punch. A glancing blow.

Jenkins closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jenkins lands in his opponent's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jenkins is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Jenkins drops back looking for a leg! Abot is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Abot manages to kick Jenkins off! Jenkins jumps back into Abot's guard.
Abot wants to stand up but Jenkins is controlling him.
Jenkins slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jenkins prevents Abot from getting back to his feet.
Jenkins trying to stand up but can't free himself from Abot's guard.
Jenkins is stalling in the full guard.

Jenkins drops back looking for a leg! Abot is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Abot manages to kick Jenkins off! Jenkins jumps back into Abot's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jenkins controls from within his opponent's guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Nasiar Jenkins was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Abot fails to land with a series of punches.
Jenkins dives in and grabs Abot's left leg, looking for a takedown. Abot pushes down on Jenkins's head and hops out.
Tony Abot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nasiar Jenkins.
Jenkins will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Abot fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Abot clinches.
Abot is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Jenkins tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Abot content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Abot jumps into guard, dragging Jenkins to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Abot is breathing heavily.
Jenkins advances position into side control!
Abot on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Abot tries to get out of the position.
Jenkins working the body and head with strikes.
Jenkins content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Nasiar Jenkins will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Jenkins wants to clinch.
Jenkins tries to bum rush Abot with a series of wild strikes but Abot uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Abot tries to clinch but Jenkins is having none of it.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Jenkins.
Check out the look on Jenkins's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Jenkins controls the position.
Jenkins lands a decent elbow from side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jenkins lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Abot down.
Abot takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Abot wants to get back to his feet but Jenkins drags him back down.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jenkins is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Abot's shoulder. That is not cool.
Abot wants to get back to his feet but Jenkins is dominant here and he's now got Abot's back!
Jenkins scores with punches from the back.

Jenkins is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Abot is tapping out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Nasiar Jenkins!
