Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lenikonu Palowunu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eikichi Onizuka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Onizuka has chosen GTO's Greatest Moments as his entrance music. Eikichi Onizuka is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lenikonu Palowunu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eikichi Onizuka! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Palowunu avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Onizuka throws a head kick that misses. A punch combination from Onizuka misses. Onizuka moves into the clinch successfully.
Palowunu content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Onizuka is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Palowunu to keep the fight standing. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Palowunu creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Onizuka pulls guard successfully.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Palowunu trying to control the position from guard on top but Onizuka is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Palowunu is really struggling to control Onizuka but he's trying to hold on to the position. Onizuka working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Palowunu doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Palowunu manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Palowunu has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Onizuka has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Palowunu is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Onizuka.
That's one minute gone in the round. Palowunu working away. Onizuka wants to get back to his feet. Palowunu tries for a kimura but Onizuka is defending well. Onizuka is not content to let Palowunu control the position. Palowunu working away. Onizuka bucks up and tries to throw Palowunu off but instead Palowunu has got his back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Palowunu tries to keep control of the position but Onizuka is staying busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Onizuka trying to control the action but Palowunu just sinks the hooks in. Palowunu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Onizuka on the ground. Onizuka fending off the submission attempt from Palowunu. Onizuka holding both Palowunu 's hands and preventing any damage. Palowunu trying to control momentarily.
Palowunu is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Palowunu is trying to stick to Onizuka's back but Onizuka is turning into Palowunu. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Palowunu's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Onizuka.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Onizuka lands a couple of digs. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Palowunu looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Onizuka works a leg free and moves into half guard. Onizuka is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Onizuka wants to take his opponent's back but Palowunu doesn't allow it. Onizuka moves to take his opponent's back. Palowunu wants to control his opponent's hands but Onizuka gets his hands free. Palowunu tries to escape the position.
Onizuka looking to break Palowunu's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Palowunu remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Onizuka will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Palowunu is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Onizuka gets his way!
Onizuka is hanging on to Palowunu's back as he tries to escape.
Onizuka working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Palowunu is doing well to defend. Onizuka seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Palowunu is forced to tap and this one is over!
