Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aapo Ik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Katurian Tupolski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tupolski has chosen Mobb Deep - Shook Ones part II as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Albert Achterberg and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ik throws a front kick aimed at Tupolski's knee but Tupolski avoids it well.
Ik works the jab nicely.
Ik feints and as Tupolski raises his hands in defense, Ik changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Ik throws a big right hand that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ik seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ik accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ik in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Tupolski wants to get back to his feet but Ik is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Ik looking to sit in guard and control but Tupolski gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Ik has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Ik shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tupolski sprawls well. Tupolski wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ik gets slowly back to his feet.

Tupolski fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ik manages to avoid it.

Ik thuds his right hand into Tupolski's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Ik shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tupolski's guard.

Ik wants to control from the top but Tupolski keeps moving.
Ik stays in close to Tupolski's body and controls the position.

Ik is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Tupolski dives into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tupolski has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Ik.
Ik is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Ik gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Ik gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Ik apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Ik uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Tupolski thuds his right hand into Ik's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Ik tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tupolski sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ik somewhat.
Tupolski tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ik swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Ik looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Ik tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tupolski swivels and escapes.
Ik with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Tupolski to score with a decent uppercut.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ik, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
