Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shrab Kabovik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hakbar Shamuli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shrab Kabovik! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hakbar Shamuli! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kabovik looks to clinch and Shamuli counters into the clinch. Nicely done. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Kabovik takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Kabovik is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Shamuli gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Shamuli has Kabovik pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Kabovik manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Kabovik prevents a takedown attempt there.
Kabovik wants to get back to striking at distance but Shamuli won't allow it.

Maybe Kabovik would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much.

Kabovik makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Come on Kabovik - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Both guys are working to get underhooks. Kabovik misses with an elbow over the top. A battle for position here, against the ropes. Shamuli keeps control of Kabovik as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. A short body shot lands from Kabovik as the two fighters clinch.

Shrab Kabovik dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Shamuli misses with a takedown and Kabovik counters with a lovely shot to the body. Shamuli feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Shamuli trying to control but Kabovik is working from the bottom. Kabovik tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kabovik bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Shamuli's guard. Kabovik stops Shamuli from standing up. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kabovik accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kabovik pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Shamuli is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kabovik in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Shamuli wants to get back to his feet but Kabovik is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Kabovik throwing strikes but missing. Kabovik tries to clinch up but Shamuli circles away and keeps his distance. Shamuli with a lazy takedown attempt and Kabovik counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Kabovik is trying to control the action in half guard but Shamuli is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Kabovik throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Shamuli looks like he's trying to stand up.
Kabovik wants to pass to mount but Shamuli is defending the position. Kabovik wants to control but Shamuli is keeping him busy. Shamuli is trying to stand back up but Kabovik is controlling him
Shamuli kicks Kabovik off and gets back to his feet. Shamuli fails with the takedown and Kabovik counters with a two punch combo. Shrab Kabovik has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hakbar Shamuli. Kabovik fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Shamuli, pushing him back against the ropes. Kabovik gets underhooks to prevent Shamuli's takedown attempt.
Shamuli has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kabovik is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Shamuli has Kabovik pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Kabovik manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kabovik pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Shrab Kabovik is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Shamuli shoots in looking for a takedown but Kabovik manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Shamuli's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Kabovik tries to close the distance and clinch but Shamuli swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kabovik forces Shamuli back against the ropes and clinches. Kabovik tries to stall but Shamuli uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kabovik slowing the pace effectively. Kabovik tries to break the clinch but Shamuli is controlling the position. Kabovik wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Kabovik has had enough of the clinch but Shamuli keeps him there for the moment. Shamuli turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Shamuli controls the position from side control. Kabovik on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kabovik tries to get out of the position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kabovik wants to control but Shamuli postures up. Shamuli gets to mount! Kabovik was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Shrab Kabovik will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

The fighters are pressed against the ropes, as the pace of the fight slows. Kabovik breaks the clinch.
Kabovik tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Shamuli paws at him with a jab and circles away. Shamuli shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kabovik as he avoids it easily. Kabovik looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Shamuli! Sloppy strikes there by Kabovik. Shamuli is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kabovik asserts his dominance and retains side control. Kabovik will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shamuli is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Shamuli is looking to get back to his feet here but Kabovik is keeping cool and he's managed to take Shamuli's back. Kabovik lands punches and elbows.

Kabovik is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Shamuli. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. Shrab Kabovik overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Shamuli has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Kabovik is punishing Shamuli with some ground and pound. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shamuli controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Shamuli. Shrab Kabovik has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hakbar Shamuli. Shamuli takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Kabovik gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kabovik keeping moving, preventing Shamuli from controlling successfully. Kabovik looking for a sweep. Not yet Kabovik, not yet. Shamuli wants to control from the top but Kabovik keeps moving. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kabovik wants to stand up but Shamuli is controlling him.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Shrab Kabovik. Well Kabovik has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
