The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greene drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Calvancante is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Calvancante is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Greene's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Calvancante trying to control but Greene postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Greene wants to free his trapped foot but Calvancante is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Calvancante looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Greene winds up and cracks Calvancante with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Greene looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Calvancante with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Greene with the ground and pound but Calvancante uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Greene stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Calvancante swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Greene connects with a couple of short punches.
Greene told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Calvancante is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Greene has his hands clasped together but Calvancante extends and breaks Greene's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Calvancante.
