Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Pew Pew! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kenton Stoll! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pew moves into the clinch successfully.
Stoll is pushing Pew up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Pew takes an elbow to the forehead. Stoll is trying to maintain a safe position but Pew gets an underhook and turns Stoll into the cage. Stoll landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Pew really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Pew takes an elbow to the forehead.
It looks like Pew Pew has been cut. Pew tries for a takedown. No joy.
Stoll is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Stoll throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Pew blocks it with crossed arms. Stoll crunches a lovely knee into Pew's ribcage. Pew is breathing heavily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pew goes for a takedown in the clinch but Stoll prevents it.
Stoll taking a breather. Pew takes an elbow to the temple. Nice elbow from Stoll. Stoll creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Pew's defenses. Stoll lands an elbow just above Pew 's eye. Stoll lands an elbow inside. Stoll lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Pew is rocked! Stoll connects with a knee to the head.
Oh Pew is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Stoll lands an elbow just above Pew 's eye. Pew has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Stoll avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pew Pew. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clinched against the cage, Stoll lands a big elbow that drops Pew! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Pew is complaining that he's OK but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kenton Stoll! Kenton Stoll very nearly forgot to thank {R.W} Four Aces Nutrition amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
