PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fabricio Schlemper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mason Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schlemper's entrance music is Zum zum zum. A fine choice. The key to victory for Fabricio Schlemper has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fabricio Schlemper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mason Storm!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Alexandre Firmino and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schlemper shoots in for a takedown but Storm shows good takedown defense.
Schlemper really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Schlemper tries to clinch but Storm moves out of range.

Schlemper shoots in and bounces Storm off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard.
Schlemper wanted to stand there but Storm had control of the position.
Storm looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Storm drives through and clinches with Schlemper against the ropes.

Storm manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Schlemper drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Storm manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Schlemper has Storm in his guard.

Schlemper isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Storm stacks Schlemper on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Storm!

Storm shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Schlemper manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Storm might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Schlemper haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Storm closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

and Storm cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Schlemper enables Storm to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Schlemper manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Schlemper is sitting in close to Storm's body. Storm has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Schlemper is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Schlemper is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Storm.
