Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Makena Sy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Collins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Makena Sy has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Makena Sy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Steve Collins!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Bruno Hogan and Darius Henderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sy gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Collins to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Collins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sy swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sy is looking to stand up but Collins isn't so interested in that idea.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Collins working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Collins passes Sy's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Collins is working for a submission of some sort.
Sy is looking to control Collins's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sy avoid being mounted?
Collins seems to be looking for submissions.
Sy has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Collins is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Collins stalling.
Collins prevents Sy from standing back up.
Collins wants to work for an arm triangle but Sy is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Sy tries to kick Collins off but Collins keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Sy might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Sy is trying to get back to full guard.
Collins controlling the action here.
Collins is thwarting Sy's attempts to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Collins throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Collins is looking to advance position but Sy won't allow it.
Collins stops Sy from getting back to his feet.
Collins scoring with strikes to the body and head.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Collins lands a nice short elbow.
Collins seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sy does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Sy wants to improve his position but Collins is controlling well.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Collins thows a huge punch but Sy dodges it nicely.
Sy is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Sy keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Collins is trying to control. Sy wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Sy kicks off Collins and gets to his feet.
Sy moves in looking to clinch but Collins pushes him off.
Sy shoots and misses
and Collins connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Sy is breathing heavily.
Collins lands a big head kick that sends Sy to the canvas! Collins follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
