Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Roberts and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Vasquez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Johnson circles away quickly and effectively.
A jab from Johnson finds it's way through Vasquez's defenses.
A right-left combo lands from Vasquez.
Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch but Vasquez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Johnson is looking to clinch.
A combination from Vasquez does no damage.

Johnson has Vasquez up against the cage in a clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Vasquez is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Johnson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Vasquez is pushing Johnson up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

The referee is keeping an eye on Johnson - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Johnson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Vasquez swats away the attempt to clinch by Johnson.

Johnson cracks Vasquez with a good jab.
Vasquez's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Vasquez duly obliges.
Johnson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Vasquez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hector Vasquez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson throws a nice looking combination but Vasquez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Vasquez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A slow jab from Vasquez misses its intended target.
Johnson lands a jab to the nose.
Johnson wants to clinch.
Johnson misses with a lunging right hand
and Vasquez counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Vasquez misses with a series of wild punches.
Vasquez lands a nice shot that snaps Johnson's head back.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Johnson tries to clinch up but Vasquez circles away and keeps his distance.
Vasquez lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Johnson is rocked!
Vasquez connects with a superb combination that knocks Johnson out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Vasquez before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Johnson!
