Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joey Silvera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Armo Kuusela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Silvera might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Wedlock. Kuusela has chosen Promentory as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuusela dips to his left and cracks Silvera with an uppercut!
Silvera misses with a left hand
and Kuusela counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Silvera thinking.
Silvera getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Silvera throws a sloppy head kick
and Kuusela counters with a straight right hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kuusela moves out of range of the body kick.

and Kuusela counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Kuusela instigates a clinch.
Silvera tries a knee to the head but Kuusela blocks it.

Kuusela escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kuusela takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Joey Silvera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kuusela thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Silvera if he has to take too many more of those.
Silvera on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Kuusela lands a front kick.
Silvera is breathing heavily.
Kuusela ducks under a wild hook from Silvera.
Kuusela circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kuusela will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Silvera tries to close the distance and clinch but Kuusela swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kuusela thuds a left hand into Silvera's body.

Silvera throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Kuusela counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Silvera bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kuusela's head backwards.
Kuusela comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Kuusela lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kuusela lands a nice looking kick to the body. Silvera takes a step back to recover.
Kuusela lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Silvera at a distance.
Silvera uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kuusela.
Silvera throws a hook but Kuusela blocks it.
Silvera throws a left and a right that both miss
and Kuusela cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kuusela is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Silvera rather than just go for the knockout.
Silvera on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Oooooh!!! Kuusela has knocked Silvera down with a huge combo! Kuusela steps away and waves a wobbly Silvera back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Silvera is rocked!
Kuusela goes for a small jab and connects. Now Kuusela goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Silvera stumbles back but Kuusela runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Silvera to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Silvera will ever be the same after a knockout like that.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Armo Kuusela!
Armo Kuusela very nearly forgot to thank CEC Nutrition Q160 amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
Joey Silvera spoke after the fight, saying 'shouldn't have masturbated that much last night.'.
