Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Otso Jokinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roman Kersikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jokinen comes to the cage accompanied by E.S. Posthumus - Unstoppable. Kersikov is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Iron Maiden - The Wicker Man. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
61 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Otso Jokinen! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roman Kersikov! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jokinen misses with a hook. Kersikov ducked under it nicely. Kersikov connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Jokinen on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kersikov. Kersikov obviously looking to wear him down.
Jokinen throws a head kick but Kersikov moves out of range.
Nice body kick there by Jokinen. Jokinen throws the kick towards the body but Kersikov avoids it. Jokinen lands with a good body shot. A looping hook to the body misses from Jokinen. Kersikov does a little dance to reset his feet. Jokinen throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Kersikov throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Kersikov misses with a body kick. Kersikov on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Jokinen pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Kersikov just misses with a punch to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jokinen takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Jokinen chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kersikov can pounce on him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice cross by Jokinen. Kersikov slaps away a takedown attempt from Jokinen, before circling back to the center of the mat. Jokinen scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Jokinen tries a head kick but it misses.
Jokinen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kersikov manages to avoid it. Jokinen cracks a nice hook into Kersikov's ribs. Kersikov walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Jokinen checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Jokinen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Otso Jokinen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jokinen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kersikov sees it coming and avoids it easily. Jokinen throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. A punch lands to the side of Jokinen 's head but he takes it in his stride. Kersikov lands a leg kick that knocks Jokinen off balance momentarily. The fight stays on the outside here - Jokinen looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jokinen throws a low kick but Kersikov avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kersikov chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Jokinen throws the kick towards the body but Kersikov avoids it. Jokinen takes a swing at Kersikov's ribcage but misses. This has been an exciting period of action! Jokinen throws a looping overhand right but Kersikov ducks down to avoid it. Nice jab there from Kersikov. Kersikov keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kersikov connects with a solid leg kick. Kersikov shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Kersikov is looking to score with low kicks. Jokinen throws a shot to the body.
Jokinen is looking to wear down Kersikov with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Jokinen misses with a lunging right hand
and Kersikov counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Kersikov trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Kersikov wants to control from the top but Jokinen keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jokinen not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jokinen seems keen to control Kersikov's posture. Jokinen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kersikov content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Kersikov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jokinen swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jokinen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kersikov is one step ahead there. Jokinen keeping full guard, as Kersikov tries to pass.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jokinen is on top in guard.
Kersikov wants to sweep here but Jokinen controlling him for the moment. Kersikov has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Jokinen doesn't defend quickly enough and Kersikov has managed to lock this one up! Can Jokinen escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Kersikov on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Roman Kersikov! Roman Kersikov is the new lightweight champion! Post fight, Roman Kersikov took to the microphone: 'Crassus sends his regards'.
