Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Guybrush Threepwood! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mario Fry! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fry throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Threepwood stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Threepwood throws a lazy head kick letting Fry counter with a right hand. Threepwood tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Fry is able to avoid easily. Threepwood's corner calls for a 1-2. Threepwood obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Fry checks a leg kick. Threepwood misses with a leg kick. Fry throws a head kick but Threepwood moves out of range.
A shot to the liver by Fry. Beautiful body shot. Threepwood misses with a leg kick and Fry counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Threepwood scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Fry doesn't seem bothered though. Fry misses with an uppercut. Threepwood saw that one coming. Fry avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Fry throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fry checks a low kick from Threepwood. Threepwood lands a nice shot that snaps Fry's head back.

Fry steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Threepwood. Threepwood throws a lazy head kick and Threepwood takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Jab by Threepwood. Threepwood pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Threepwood has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Steel Penn/Heavy Hands Gym in the buildup to the fight. Threepwood instigates a clinch. Threepwood on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Fry tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Threepwood scores with a hook to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A short uppercut from Threepwood. Threepwood presses Fry against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Threepwood. Threepwood swings wildly with an uppercut but Fry uses good head movement to avoid it. Threepwood breaks the clinch.

Threepwood tries to land a leg kick but Fry saw it coming and moves away.

Guybrush Threepwood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fry blocks a low kick nicely. Threepwood throws a hook to the side of Fry's head but Fry sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Fry throws a head kick that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Threepwood misses with a leg kick and Fry counters with a nice leg kick. Both fighters circling a little - Fry finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. A good leg kick by Threepwood. Fry misses with a body kick. Threepwood throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Threepwood crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Fry - the referee stops the clock and Threepwood gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Fry. Threepwood manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Threepwood is breathing heavily. A low kick from Threepwood misses and Fry makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Fry throws a head kick but Threepwood moves out of range.
Threepwood throws a lazy body kick and Fry counters with a head kick. Fry pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fry misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Threepwood throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Threepwood tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Threepwood swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Threepwood throws a leg kick but Fry moved away. Fry throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Threepwood sees it coming and avoids it easily. Fry misses with a low kick. Threepwood throws the left hand but Fry avoids the punch easily. Threepwood throws a solid leg kick but Fry takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Threepwood. Threepwood thows a leg kick but Fry checks it and Fry counters with a head kick that drops Threepwood to the mat! Threepwood scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly! Fry throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Threepwood throws a lazy head kick and Fry connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Threepwood is rocked! Fry scores with a nice body kick.
Oh Threepwood is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Both fighters circling a little - Fry finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Threepwood gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Mario Fry! Mario Fry very nearly forgot to thank Cage Star amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
