4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sanosuke Sagara! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Bart Greer and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sagara shoots in and bounces Johnson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Sagara trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Johnson has an active guard here but Sagara has managed to pass into half guard.
Johnson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Sagara pulls his head out easily. Johnson flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Sagara is keen to just control but Johnson is a slippery customer. Sagara might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Johnson haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Sagara takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Sagara decides to return to a standing position. Sagara dives in and scores a takedown into Johnson's guard. Johnson is looking for a triangle but Sagara pushes his legs off easily.

He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Sagara! Sagara lands a decent elbow from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johnson tries to reverse the position but Sagara maintains control.

Sagara looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Sagara blocks Johnson's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Johnson is squirming around, avoiding Sagara's attempts to control the action. Sagara is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Sagara prevents Johnson from getting the reversal. Johnson taking shots to the head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Johnson is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Sagara couldn't care less - he's delighted!
