Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marrio Marselli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Perez might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to It's Goin Down by T.C.. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joshua Perez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marrio Marselli !
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marselli forces Perez back against the cage and clinches.
Marselli tries to circle away but Perez has him pinned against the cage.

Marselli gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Perez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Marselli is working away from the top position though.

Perez buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Marselli shoots in and gets a takedown into Perez's guard.

Perez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Marselli doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Marselli manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Marselli got a little sloppy there for a moment and Perez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Marselli has managed to get both his arms back between Perez's legs - danger averted.

A nice inside leg kick there by Perez. That's going to slow Marselli down.

Marselli feints and as Perez raises his hands in defense, Marselli changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Perez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Marselli gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Marselli makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Perez is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Perez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Marselli throws a strike but Perez rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Marselli has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Perez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Perez tries to free his leg and advance position but Marselli is retaining full guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Marselli shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Perez's guard.
Marselli stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Perez swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Perez tries to land a sweep but no joy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Marselli throws a strike but Perez rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Marrio Marselli showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Marselli turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Marselli manages to end up in side control.

Perez is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Marselli 's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Marselli 's back!

Perez is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Marselli defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
