Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Bergogolio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kato Kiyomasa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bergogolio comes to the cage accompanied by Adoramus Te. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jorge Bergogolio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kato Kiyomasa!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Bergogolio misses.
Bergogolio loads up on a big right hand but Kiyomasa slips the punch.
Kiyomasa displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bergogolio throws out the jab.
Bergogolio misses with a looping right.
Bergogolio just misses with a punch to the body.
A big right from Bergogolio misses.
Kiyomasa throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bergogolio.
Bergogolio misses with the combination.
Kiyomasa defending well as Bergogolio loads up on a big left hand.
Kiyomasa uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Bergogolio.
Bergogolio throws a jab when Kiyomasa was well out of range.
Bergogolio looks to land a left hand but Kiyomasa moved out of range nicely.
Kiyomasa tries for a takedown but Bergogolio sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Kiyomasa moves in looking to clinch but Bergogolio pushes him off.
Sloppy strikes from Bergogolio. Those never looked like landing.
Kiyomasa misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Kiyomasa cracks Bergogolio with a good jab.

Bergogolio thows a body shot but no joy.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kiyomasa has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Bergogolio jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Kiyomasa misses with a body shot.
Bergogolio swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kiyomasa slips a jab from Bergogolio.
We've been told by Bergogolio's head coaches at Brick Brawlers MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Bergogolio throws a nice looking combination but Kiyomasa bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bergogolio slips a jab and a cross from Kiyomasa.
Kiyomasa scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bergogolio doesn't seem bothered though.

and Bergogolio takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Kiyomasa counters by moving into the clinch.

Bergogolio has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Kiyomasa lands a body punch in the clinch.
Kiyomasa lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Kiyomasa is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Bergogolio is trying to push Kiyomasa away but Kiyomasa has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Kiyomasa has a couple of punches blocked by Bergogolio.
Kiyomasa pushes Bergogolio back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Kiyomasa doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kiyomasa tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Bergogolio is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Kiyomasa's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Kiyomasa manages to pull guard.
Kiyomasa not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kiyomasa manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bergogolio manages to get himself to full guard.

Kiyomasa drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kiyomasa jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Kiyomasa wants to control from the top but Bergogolio keeps moving.
Kiyomasa passes Bergogolio's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Bergogolio knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kiyomasa on the ground.
Kiyomasa uses his free foot to push down on Bergogolio's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bergogolio.

Kiyomasa has isolated one of Bergogolio's arms. Bergogolio looking to fight him off but Kiyomasa twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
