The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shady closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Rock is trying to get back to half guard.
Shady thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Rock is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Shady off and has taken his back!

Shady goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Rock has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Shady but great work by Rock.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Shady will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Shady is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Rock is forced to tap! Great finish!
