Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Harper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clyde Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jones's choice of entrance music: Beyonce feat. Jay Z - Bonnie & Clyde. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Ben Hemmingworth and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Harper as Jones shoots in.
Jones stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Harper.
Jones blocks a head kick by Harper.
Harper misses with a few strikes there.
Harper moves into the clinch.
Jones ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Jones no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Jones had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Harper defends it easily.
Jones wants to sweep but no luck.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Harper wants to get up but he can't break Jones's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Jones is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Harper defends well.
Jones is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Jones is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Harper is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Clyde Jones bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
Patrick Harper was interviewed post fight and said 'He's a good fighter, and I will learn a lot from this experience. I'll be back stronger and better than I am now!'.
