Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Amin Sax (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rex Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sax kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Infected Mushroom - Smashing The Opponent. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 32 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Amin Sax! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rex Steele! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steele shoots in for a takedown but Sax shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Sax throws a nice outside leg kick. Horrible takedown by Sax or perhaps it was just good defense by Steele which made him look bad. Steele is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Steele's coach down at Werewolf's cave was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Steele's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Sax looks for a takedown but Steele sprawls well. Sax closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Steele to the mat! Steele manages to get full guard. Sax postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Steele can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sax controls the pace. Steele really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sax. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Steele wants to get back to his feet but Sax is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Steele is trying to keep Sax in close.
Sax is pushing down on Steele's leg trying to pass to half guard. Steele is fighting to maintain full guard but Sax has managed to sneak the leg through. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Steele can do anything to dispel that myth. Steele blocking the ground and pound attempt from Sax.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sax is trying to work for a kimura but Steele is defending well.

Sax is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Steele sees it coming and defends easily. Steele works his way to full guard. Good work. Sax being controlled here momentarily. Steele trying to keep a closed guard but Sax is proving a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sax loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Steele controls Sax momentarily but Sax frees himself. Sax trying to control the position from guard on top but Steele is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sax scores with a takedown into Steele's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sax engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Steele looking to control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sax advances position into side control! Sax tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sax has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Steele managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Sax.

Steele didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Sax is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Sax hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
