A fine choice. Recksun is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Eye of the Tiger. Gyawang Lhad had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gyawang Lhad! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hugh Recksun! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lhad has taken the fight to the clinch.
Lhad escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Recksun avoids the head kick by Lhad.
Lhad thuds his right hand into Recksun's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
It looks like Hugh Recksun has been cut. Lhad stuffs the takedown attempt from Recksun. Recksun gets slowly back to his feet. Jab by Lhad. A big head kick from Lhad and Recksun is sent sprawling to the canvas! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lhad lands a couple of digs. Lhad throws a big right hand that misses. Lhad postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Lhad working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Lhad lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Lhad postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That has opened up Hugh Recksun's cut even more. Lhad gets to his feet. Recksun looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
That's one minute gone in the round. Lhad scoring well with a low kick there.
Lhad explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Recksun looks winded! Recksun takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Nice uppercut there from Lhad.
The cut above Hugh Recksun's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Recksun throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Lhad.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lhad scores with a body shot.
Lhad fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Recksun sprawls well initially but Lhad persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Lhad lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lhad lands with a punch from half guard.
Hugh Recksun's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Hugh Recksun's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Gyawang Lhad! An out of breath Gyawang Lhad thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
