Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Long Haired Samson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Gaston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Long Haired Samson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 28 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Gaston! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gaston throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Samson has a takedown stuffed. Samson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Gaston has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Samson is landing a low percentage of strikes. Samson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Gaston throws a head kick that misses. Samson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gaston's guard. Gaston is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Gaston has his feet on Samson's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Samson fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Long Haired Samson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gaston ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gaston tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Samson takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Gaston misses with a wild body shot. Samson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gaston was covering up waiting for the punch and Samson finishes the takedown easily into guard. Gaston is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Samson is controlling him. Samson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gaston wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Samson manages to pass to side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Samson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Samson seems to be working for a kimura but Gaston defends the submission attempt. Gaston wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gaston wants to stand back up but Samson manages to pass into side control.
Samson working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Gaston is trying to buck Samson off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gaston avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Samson. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Samson happy to just control the position for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nick Gaston dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Samson is defended easily by Gaston. Gaston slaps away a takedown attempt from Samson, before circling back to the center of the mat. Gaston pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Samson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Long Haired Samson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Samson on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Gaston moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A punch combination from Gaston misses. Gaston lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
It looks like Long Haired Samson has been cut. Gaston tries to bum rush Samson with a series of wild strikes but Samson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Gaston looks to score with a jab to the body but Samson is just out of range. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Samson sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Samson avoids the body shot from Gaston.
Nick Gaston is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A slapping body kick lands there for Gaston. Gaston connects with a leg kick. Samson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Gaston misses with a two punch combination.
Gaston sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Samson to the ground! Gaston dives into full mount looking to finish! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gaston with the ground and pound from mount. Gaston trying to control but he's not successful this time. Gaston pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Gaston postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Samson badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Gaston around the waist but Gaston pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Gaston is the winner by TKO! Gaston jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nick Gaston! After the big win, Nick Gaston made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors Springfield HW Nutrition and telling the interviewer how much he loves him.
