Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Volya Nikolaev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jun Gyeong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nikolaev's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Fever . Gyeong is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Intro. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jun Gyeong! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nikolaev tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gyeong swats him away and circles back towards the center. Nikolaev wants to clinch and Gyeong counters by clinching up. Nikolaev misses with a hook from the clinch. Nikolaev wants the takedown. Gyeong is fighting it off but Nikolaev persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Gyeong's guard against the cage. Nikolaev slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Nikolaev is looking to work some ground and pound but Gyeong has wrist control. Nikolaev wants to control from the top but Gyeong keeps moving. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nikolaev accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The ref stands the fighters back up. Volya Nikolaev wasn't doing enough on the ground. Gyeong clinches. Gyeong gets control of Nikolaev's arms and successfully pulls guard. Gyeong will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Nikolaev trying to control the position from guard on top but Gyeong is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. That's two minutes gone in the round. Nikolaev is looking to work some ground and pound but Gyeong has wrist control. Gyeong is looking to stand up but Nikolaev isn't so interested in that idea. Nikolaev with a flurry of punches that miss. Nikolaev throwing strikes from guard but Gyeong blocks nicely. Nikolaev has gone for a leg lock! Gyeong slips out almost immediately though and dives into Nikolaev's guard. Gyeong won't allow Nikolaev to sweep him here. Gyeong trying to control but Nikolaev is working from the bottom. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nikolaev seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Gyeong stopping the sweep attempt from Nikolaev. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gyeong wants to stand and escape but instead Nikolaev has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Nikolaev throws a big right hand that misses. Nikolaev postures up and lands a big shot to Gyeong's brow. Nikolaev has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Gyeong avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Nikolaev in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Nikolaev scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Nikolaev's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Gyeong avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Nikolaev is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Nikolaev is pushing down on Gyeong's leg trying to pass to half guard. Gyeong is fighting to maintain full guard but Nikolaev has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gyeong is staying active underneath Nikolaev, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Nikolaev throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Gyeong wants to improve his position but Nikolaev is controlling well.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nikolaev wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gyeong keeps working. Gyeong trying to control here.
Nikolaev lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Ground and pound from Nikolaev. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nikolaev wants to control but Gyeong is keeping him busy. Gyeong is looking for a sweep. Nikolaev is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Nikolaev lands a nice short elbow. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gyeong regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Nikolaev. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Volya Nikolaev dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Nikolaev looks for a takedown but Gyeong sprawls well. Nikolaev tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gyeong manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Nikolaev checks a low kick from Gyeong. Gyeong gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Nikolaev with a nice head shot there. Nikolaev tries to free his leg and advance position but Gyeong is retaining full guard. Nikolaev trying to control the position from guard on top but Gyeong is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Nikolaev throwing strikes but missing. Nikolaev stands up over Gyeong, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Nikolaev trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gyeong trying to keep a closed guard but Nikolaev is proving a slippery customer.
Gyeong working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Nikolaev. Gyeong looking to hit a scissor sweep but Nikolaev is one step ahead there. Gyeong has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Nikolaev is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Gyeong gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gyeong seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Nikolaev gets full guard. Gyeong tries to stand but Nikolaev is controlling from the bottom. Nikolaev keeping moving, preventing Gyeong from controlling successfully. Gyeong got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nikolaev has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gyeong has managed to get both his arms back between Nikolaev's legs - danger averted. Volya Nikolaev overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nikolaev fails to land the takedown. Nikolaev tries to clinch there but Gyeong circles away.
A decent looking cross lands there for Nikolaev. Gyeong closes the distance and clinches. Nikolaev manages to pull guard.
Gyeong stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nikolaev swivels though and keeps the full guard. Gyeong wants to stand but Nikolaev has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Nikolaev trying to control the position here. Gyeong working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Nikolaev's head.

Gyeong is looking to take a break and control but Nikolaev is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Gyeong prevents Nikolaev from improving his position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nikolaev is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gyeong's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gyeong's back! Nikolaev has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Nikolaev is looking for a rear naked choke here but Gyeong reverses the position brilliantly into Nikolaev's guard!

Volya Nikolaev dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Gyeong closes the distance and clinches. Gyeong jumps guard.
Gyeong has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Nikolaev has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Nikolaev is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Gyeong can't fight it off and eventually Nikolaev manages to take the fight to the floor. Gyeong looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Gyeong wants to get back to his feet but Nikolaev is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Nikolaev drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Gyeong manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Nikolaev has Gyeong in his guard. Nikolaev is trying to keep Gyeong in close.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nikolaev pulls Gyeong in close to prevent any damage. Nikolaev manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Gyeong is squirming around, avoiding Nikolaev's attempts to control the action. Nikolaev looking for a guillotine from mount but Gyeong is having none of it. Gyeong takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nikolaev with shots to the head and body - Gyeong looks very uncomfortable down there. Nikolaev sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Nikolaev has control of Gyeong's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Gyeong regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Nikolaev can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gyeong is looking to escape. Nikolaev thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Nikolaev lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nikolaev is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Gyeong has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Gyeong! Nikolaev wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Nikolaev wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Gyeong is now in half guard. Nikolaev is refusing to be controlled, as Gyeong sits in half guard. Nikolaev is trying to maintain the position but Gyeong is very close to passing his half guard. Gyeong seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Nikolaev does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Nikolaev punching from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nikolaev is holding on to half guard well. Nikolaev is looking for a sweep. Gyeong is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jun Gyeong. Nikolaev uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Gyeong has time to react. Volya Nikolaev is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Gyeong stuffs the takedown. Nikolaev moves in looking to clinch but Gyeong pushes him off. Nikolaev moves out of range as Gyeong strikes. Volya Nikolaev is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Gyeong keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Gyeong takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Jun Gyeong has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gyeong takes the fight into the clinch. Gyeong breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nikolaev pushes Gyeong up against the cage in a clinch.
And that's the end of the fight! Volya Nikolaev showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nikolaev, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Volya Nikolaev! Volya Nikolaev opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
