Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Craig David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duke Maximus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David comes into the arena with Craig David - Rise and Fall blaring out of the sound system. Maximus has chosen No Surrender as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximus throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Maximus fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with David, pushing him back against the ropes.
David working hard to break the clinch.

Maximus manages to break the clinch.
David tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Maximus paws at him with a jab and circles away.
David misses with a few strikes there.
No joy there for David, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Duke Maximus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like Craig David has been cut.

Maximus moves into range and clinches up with David.
Maximus tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Maximus escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Maximus throws a sloppy head kick and David moves out of range easily.
Maximus keeps the fight on the outside.
David takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Maximus rushes David and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.

Maximus has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. So far he's outscoring his opponent in the clinch so it seems to have been worthwhile.
